A young man who emerged on Auntie Naa’s Oyerepa Afutuo Friday recalled how his younger brother, Gabriel 16 years, impregnated, his own sister, Charity 14 years at Wasa Nkooso, a nearby town of Wasa Akropong in the Western region.
According to the narrator; “I live together with my parents at Wasa Nkooso, a village near Wasa Akropong in the Western region. My younger brother who is 16 and my younger sister 14 had sex at the village (Wasa Nkooso) where we live.”
“…. One dawn my late father called us and told us that, my siblings Gabriel and Charity have conceived. My father told us that, we should tell people that a galamseyer impregnated my sister.”
“But elders of the community who heard about the news said if a sacrifice was not made, one of them would be insane.”
However, “They gave birth. After giving birth, a sacrifice needed to be made to cast out the abomination but my mother insisted she is the Church of Pentecost women’s leader so won’t accept the sacrifice. She secretly purified the girl but my younger brother was not sanctified. So he went mad.
“Later my mom also fell sick so she sought spiritual advice and it came out that, she was ill because my younger brother has not been purified.
She then went to the chief of the community where the sacrifice was made. We needed to carry the sheep’s blood to move from the community’s end to end for people to witness but my mother ordered us to do it discreetly because of her position in the church, so the sacrifice backfired. My brother’s situation escalated afterwards.”
“Auntie Naa, I’m here for your help. I want my mom to help us to heal my brother.” He narrated.
